The Friends of the Nanticoke River invite you to become a member of our organization!

• Representing the river in the face of pressures from sprawl development, relaxed wetland regulations, pollution, and the increasing population of the watershed
• Active for 12 years in monitoring, advocacy, outreach, and stewardship
• Approximately 200 members from Wicomico, Dorchester, and Sussex Counties, other parts of Maryland and numerous other states
• A founding organization of the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance, regarded nationally as an excellent model for watershed protection
• Local members volunteer in river clean-ups, water quality monitoring, oyster restoration, tree planting, and other projects that help preserve the river
